After School Clubs

Unless specified separately all clubs will run from 3:15pm to 4:15pm. The cost of each extra-curriculum club varies so please see individual prices. Prices are per week and payment must be made for the half term. All clubs have a limit of 15 children unless otherwise stated. Also listed below are the names of those providers who are running the extra-curricular club along with other details.

As a school we have made a commitment to subsides all of our clubs by 60%. We understand that the cost of living means that household budgets are squeezed and we don’t want our children to miss out on opportunities they might otherwise have had.

FUNdamentals – Moss Valley led – Miss Jones - £2 - Mondays 3:15pm - 4:15pm
An opportunity for our youngest children to learn the basics to excel in sport. Children will learn the basic skills such as ball control, throwing and catching, balancing and gross motor control.
Open to Nursery, Reception and Year 1
Table Tennis – Mr Booth – £2 - Mondays 3:15pm - 4:15pm
Table tennis is a racket sport derived from tennis but distinguished by its playing surface being atop a stationary table, rather than the court on which players stand. 
Open to Years 2 - 6
Hockey – Ed Start – £2 - Mondays 3:15pm - 4:15pm
An indoor game based on tennis, played with small bats and a ball bounced on a table divided by a net.
Open to Years 3, 6
Football – Moss Valley led – Mr Booth - £2 - Tuesdays 3:15pm - 4:15
Any of various forms of team game involving kicking (and in some cases also handling) a ball.

Dodge Ball - Moss Valley led – Miss Jones - £2 - Tuesdays 3:15pm - 4:15 
Dodgeball is a team sport in which players on two opposing teams try to throw balls and hit opponents while avoiding being hit themselves.
Open to Years 3, 4, 5 & 6
Tennis - EdStart - Tuesdays 3:15pm - 4:15pm 
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent or between two teams of two players each. 
Open to Years 2 - 6
Chess – Mr Kane – £2 - Thursdays 3:15pm - 4:15pm
A game in which strategy and forward thinking are everything. Played in a calm environment with a chess professional. A club supported by Mr Nightingale.
Open to Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6
Dance– Miss O'Neil - £2 - Thursdays 3:15pm - 4:15pm
Children get to learn a dance routine based on songs. These are linked to the PE curriculum where possible.
Open to Years 2 to 6
Brass – MAPAS - £1.50 - Thursdays 3:15pm - 4:15pm
Led by ‘Music and Performing Arts Salford – MAPAS) children learn to read music and play a musical instrument. All children in this club have the opportunity to take home their own instrument.
