The menu runs on a four week rotation system. You can download copies of our school menus on this page.

Meal Prices

Reception to Year 2 (Universal Free School Meals)

Year 3 to Year 6 – £2.10 a day (£10.50 per week)

Meals can be paid for on a Monday morning, £10.50 for the week. If your child is on packed lunches they can pay £2.10 for a hot meal on our special ‘Fishy Friday’ lunch.

Packed Lunches

Children at school should have about a third of their daily nutrient requirements at lunchtime. This means they need food that is going to provide them with enough energy, protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals.

A healthy packed lunch should contain a variety of foods.

A good packed lunch contains:

  • A starchy food, such as bread, rolls, pitta bread, naan bread, potatoes, rice, noodles.
  • A good source of protein, iron and zinc such as meat, fish, beans, nuts or eggs.
  • A good source of calcium such as milk, cheese, yoghurt or fromage frais.
  • And one portion of fruit and one portion of vegetable or salad to provide all the other vitamins and minerals.

Magic Breakfast

Moss Valley is proud to be in partnership with Magic Breakfast, providing healthy breakfasts to our pupils so that they are settled and ready to learn.

Magic Breakfast provides Moss Valley with nutritious breakfast food to ensure children start their school day in the best possible way. Breakfast gives children the energy needed for the busy school morning, enabling them to focus on their lessons.

Our breakfast provision is free to all children and is offered during Chat and Play. Toasted bagels, cereal, milk and fresh juice are available in all classrooms.
